While traveling through Boston last week I snapped this
wonderful old theater which is now empty--and not likely
to reopen. For contrast, there's a new Loews Multiplex
around the corner that looks like an office building from
the outside!

While in Halifax I learned that there is a popular outdoor
film festival held alongside the harbor every summer;
the "screen" is actually painted onto the facing
of an old warehouse-type building. They were screening
Xanadu the night we passed through, but we were
told that a Hitchcock classic was going to be chosen online
for the season finale.
