Throwback Thursday: The Wolf Man

Universal Pictures - The Wolf Man 1942Universal Pictures didn’t own a chain of movie theaters, as Warner Bros., Paramount, Fox, MGM, and RKO did, so it had a tougher time getting premium
bookings for its product, but in early 1942 they scored with a double bill of The Wolf Man and The Mad Doctor of Market Street in Los Angeles. Not to leave any
stone unturned, the Vogue Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard added a live horror
stage-show featuring Wolf Man costar
Bela Lugosi. You could see it all for as little as 30 cents (plus tax)!
